In EDTC 5403, we focused on utilizing different technological innovations in an effective way in a real-world classroom setting. One of our assignments was to take a practice that we already were implementing in our classrooms and to add in a technological element to see how we could enhance this practice. I chose to create a model which would change up the way I was doing student/teacher conferencing and feedback, and instead do these through virtual videos posted to the platform FlipGrid. This would provide students the opportunity to discuss areas where they were struggling, to get a personalized video from their teacher commenting on these thoughts, receive virtual work to help them in these deficit areas, and have a chance to raise their grades through a re-attempt at a particular project or skill, all through a virtual environment that could be accessible to students anywhere, anytime.
